Support Programs
New Placement supportThis program provides support to foster/kinship families taking in new placements by providing a homemade meal within the first few days following placement, and gathering/delivering other resource and supplies for the kiddos.
|
Need-Based ResourcesThis program provides sensory baskets for children impacted by trauma, care baskets and meals for parents experiencing stress, house cleaning sponsorships, gift cards, and other practical support efforts to reduce caregiver burnout.
|
Family Support TeamsThis program builds support teams around a foster/kinship family consisting of four other inviduals that commit to bringing the family one meal a month. This way the family is getting one weekly meal through their support team.
|
Sensory regulation BasketsWe work to provide children who have experienced toxic stress and trauma with sensory support items because we believe a supported nervous system is a critical part to healing.
High sensory needs, a nervous system stuck in overdrive, and regulation struggles all go hand in hand. We believe when we support the whole body, that's when our children learn to feel safe and connected again. |

Community Events
Support GroupWe partner with Tara and Kelly Knouse, of First Baptist Cleveland, to co-lead a community-wide support group for all foster, adoptive, and kinship families. We gather monthly on every third Monday of the month with like-minded families to have a place to feel seen, heard, and understood. We share encouragement, resources, pray over one another, and just make each other feel sane.
First Baptist Cleveland provides childcare for ages birth - 13 years old, and the group meets at their Cleveland location from 6-8pm in room 220. Dinner provided! We want to thank two local Cleveland Businesses that are our meal sponsors for the 2026 Suppport Group gatherings!
A huge thank you to our local Cracker Barrel in Cleveland, TN that is sponsoring our meal, and Kneaded Delights, that is sponsoring the dessert for each gathering. |
Parents Night OutWe partner with local churches to provide a Parents Night Out event for families. We aim to have these every month. These events are for ALL of your children - foster, adoptive, biological, and kinship. Age ranges for the event depends on the church, but we always do a 3 hour event where we provide dinner, games, other activities to love on your kiddos while you go out and have a night off!
All childcare workers for our PNOs are background checked and receive a brief trauma-informed training done by our team. We always have a member of the Resource Collective team on site for each event who can help step in if needed. |
Other community EventsWe also try to do other events throughout the year; some are a larger events, such as our annual back-to-school bash, while others are on a smaller scale like a park day, family movie night, etc. Keep an eye out on our social media to stay up to date on our most current events!
